Beacon Hill in south Seattle has always been my home. When I was in grade school I would walk up and down Gramham street without a care in the world. Now with all the gentrification going on in this part of the city, I find the classic textures and stories usally connected to that area has faded. This photo I guess will be a rare sighting to see in the next 5 years.

PNW rivers in the fall. The colors are turning, the days are shorter and the air is cooler. There is something beautiful about how nature tells a story from beginning to end.

NE 45th & 11th Ave. I left work later than usual, a commute I normally hope to avoid. While heading home I saw this composition from the bridge at my work. All great things take time, and waiting for this moment was well worth the story it tells.

Sometimes taking it slow can get you to where you want to be faster than rushing there and getting stuck. Take a step, slow down and always look for the light.

Hawaii trip

I had an opportunity to visit Hawaii a couple of months ago and witness a close friend of mine graduate and step into the next stage of his life. A couple of beers, beach days and some sunburn days later, the mini vacation was over. This place seems to be where everyone seeks to be refresh and get away from the real world. I was going through these photos and was rather impressed with the way I captured these small moments of vacation. Want to remind yourself of a get away?
